SERVICES

Conditions We Treat

Constipation

Constipation is either infrequent stools (3-4 stools weekly), large painful stools (Bristol Type 1-3), or straining to stool.

Food Allergy

The gastrointestinal tract is uniquely suited to digest all the different foods we eat to help our children grow and thrive. Children with food allergies however, may not tolerate all foods.

SIBO

In patients with SIBO - there is an excessive amount of bacterial growth in the small intestines. This can lead to abdominal pain, bloating, excessive gas and vitamin deficiencies.

Diarrhea

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), diarrhea is the passage of three or more loose or watery stools per day.

Poor Weight Gain

A child's weight gain typically follows a predictable course from the newborn through adolescence and into adult hood. Occasionally, this veers of course and needs to be investigated.

IBD (Crohn's and Colitis)

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) - also known as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, is a problem with the body's immune system.

Reflux

The movement of stomach contents backwards into the esophagus is known as gastro-esophageal reflux. This occurs periodically in infants, children and adults.

Celiac and Gluten Intolernaces

Celiac disease is an auto-immune disease whereby the body reacts to wheat or gluten as though it were a bacteria or virus.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Irritable bowel syndrome is a problem for nerves that line the intestines. Children often have either diarrhea or constipation predominant symptoms.
