As is the case for most parents – it has been quite a journey! My wife and I have gained a great deal of knowledge caring for our little ‘peanuts’ – from the moment they entered the NICU until today. Along the way, we have come to understand that every child is different and each child faces his or her own unique challenges. Moreover, parents are faced with an endless list of decisions and innumerable choices when it comes to their child’s health
It is with this in mind, that we have made it our mission to provide parents with the most up-to-date clinical knowledge and scientific data to help guide their decision making when it comes to their child‘s health. We hope this information empowers parents and serves to improve the lives of our patients. Lastly and most importantly, we are always available to answer any questions!
PHYSICIAN-SCIENTIST
Meet Roy Nattiv, MD
Dr. Roy Nattiv is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and received his medical degree from Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv, Israel.
While completing his pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Dr. Nattiv developed a keen interest in treating children with gastrointestinal illness and inflammatory bowel diseases. He went on to complete his subspecialty training in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).
During his time at UCSF, Dr. Nattiv performed both clinical and basic scientific research in pediatric gastroenterology. He has co-authored several papers in high-impact journals that shed light on the developing human intestine and the intestine recovers and regenerates following injury. He was a California Institute of Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) fellowship trainee and was awarded the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (NASPGHAN) Fellow to Faculty Award in Pediatric IBD Research.
In the clinic, Dr. Nattiv leverages his clinical and scientific expertise to help patients heal.
